Firstly apologies for no updates. I was struck down with some sort of Flu last week and it took quite a toll on me. I didn't eat for a few days nor get out of bed. This then meant no updates. It also mean that after just starting the couch to 5k I ended up having to stop. So my plan this weekend is to restart it.....
As usual on Wednesday I attended my group. With it being half term it was quite a small group - only 8 of us. However I lost 2lb which mean I got my 1.5st award, my club 10 award and slimmer of the week all in one hit.
I started the Couch to 5K on Sunday. I was waiting until I lost 2 stone but I have struggled so much with my weight since Christmas that I thought sod it. I actually managed to complete day one with no stops, which surprised me.
You only have to do it 3 times a week with a rest day between which I think most people could manage. Lets see if by the end of the 9 weeks I can run 5k.
I've also started "Planking" - this is basically where you hold yourself in the same position for a certain time. This is surprising hard hence why it is recommended. You feel the burn surprisingly quickly. It works a lot a of muscles so we shall see if this works too.
only 0.5lb off this week and I have no idea why. I have stuck to the plan and even starting walking more but that's all I got for it. Such a disappointment.....
Total weight loss so far: 1st 3.5lb
May seem a bit strange but I have been looking in our Disney holiday for 2019. One of the reasons is I want to get a good villa and it seems you have to book early.
Luckily, we already had a villa in mind and its available for the dates we are looking at. Then we need think about flights, car insurance, car hire, travel insurance, park tickets plus loads more that I am sure I will think about as we go along.
If anyone has any hints or tips I am all ears.....
Apologies...I actually forgot to post this on Wednesday. I lost 1.5lb this week so total weight loss so far is now 1st3lb. Getting closer to my 1.5st award now.....
I gained a pound last night making my total loss now 1st 1.5lb. I really want get to 2st by the end of March. Our consultant has suggested a free foods week. Basically our meals (Brekkie, lunch and tea) should be free & speed foods then we use our healthy extras and syns for snacks. Will certainly give this a try at the weekend as we have already planned our meals up to Friday.
I have started exercising again. Only walking but its a start. Once I get to 2st down I want to try the couch to 5k challenge, I would love to do a Disney 5k at some point.....
January is usually a busy month for me. I start planning our days out/holidays for the year. One the reason I have to look so far ahead is due to the dogs. We have a sitter when we go out for the day and I need to give her plenty of notice.
Rebecca wanted a party with her friend which means one less day out.
We have a few European parks and quite a few UK parks and non theme park attractions planned. Biggest one is our week to Disneyland Paris (again). I just love the place. We are going to add Parc Astrix to the end of the holiday - just for the day so I hope it isn't too busy.
Some of the UK places we hope to visit include: Belfast Zoo, Crocodiles of the World, Sealife Birmingham Twinlakes, Chessington Worlds of Adventure, Alton Towers, Folly Farm, Oakwood, Paultons Park and Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. Lots of family fun....
I weigh in on a Wednesday night. I go to lovely group held in a nearby church hall. I've learn more from the group than my last 4 times I've join slimming world. I may look at sharing some of the things I have learnt on here eventually.
Anyway, I lost 3lb last night now bringing my total weight loss to 1st 2.5lb. Still a way to go but as Tesco say, Every little helps :)
Well my first post (hopefully of many) for 2018. I wanted to write this one a reminder to myself of what I hope to achieve in 2018:
1. To loose weight
I would like to loose 4 st in 2018. I managed 1st in the last quarter of 2017 so it is possible.
2. To write a blog
strange I know but I have wanted to write a blog for a few years. I just never get the chance to sit down and do it. I want this year to be the year that I do
3. To manage money better
we waste a lot on money on stuff that we never use again or even need. I want to try and cut that down so we can get some decent savings and be able to book a holiday to Walt Disney World.
4. To be a better wife/mother
my 4 year old regularly tells me she hates me and i want to try and change her feelings. Not sure how yet - watch this space for that one.
So there you have it, sure there will be more as the year goes on but they are the main ones that I can think of....
